Grades 7-8 Information

Overview

Saint Jude School has a Kindergarten through Grade 8 program that runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 2:25 p.m. Saint Jude School serves the communities of Waltham, Watertown, Newton, Belmont, Brighton, and the surrounding area. Bus service, provided by the City of Waltham, is available to Waltham residents.

Weekly art, music, computer, and gym classes for all grades. Emphasis on student academic achievement, leadership, and community service
beginning in kindergarten. Student participation in monthly First Friday
masses and special liturgies. Classes are dismissed the first Wednesday of
each month at 11:30 a.m. for monthly faculty meetings – the Extended Day Program is available for these days.

Summer Reading Packet

Summer vacation is the perfect time to reinforce the reading and math skills that we have worked to develop and strengthen, throughout the year.

Click on this link below to find the Saint Jude Summer reading list for students. The summer list includes both required and suggested reading.

All reading records are due on September 8th, the individual classroom teachers, at their discretion, will assess the required readings. The students should keep track of all reading that they do. There is a record sheet at the end of each packet.

In addition, this years students are required to complete a math packet. In order to strengthen and maintain key math skills that have been acquired throughout the year. Each sudent needs to complete and return the enclosed math papers. This is also due on September 8th.
